Reading:
This week your child is
reading Max Found
Two Sticks, by
Brian Pinkney. In this story, a young boy named Max doesn’t feel like talking
to anyone, so instead he finds two sticks and begins drumming on anything he
can find. When he’s asked what he’s doing, he just drums his answer. Then the
sudden appearance of a marching band and an unexpected gift of real drumsticks
change Max’s mood.

Music:
2nd Grade Concert
The second grade concert is on Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00. All of the second grade students will be performing. They will be dancing, singing, playing instruments and explaining their work in the music room. Your child brought home a sheet with the times and details of the concert.
